Edward J. Hannan : ウィキペディア英語版 | Edward J. Hannan Edward James Hannan FAA (1921 – 7 January 1994) was an Australian statistician who is the co-discoverer of the Hannan–Quinn information criterion. He studied at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Patrick A. P. Moran. For the majority of his working life, he was attached the Australian National University. The Statistical Society of Australia awarded him the Pitman Medal in recognition of his life's work.〔(Australian Journal of Statistics: Pitman Medal awarded to E.J. Hannan ).〕 In 1970 he was elected to the Australian Academy of Science.
